The universal visual of a successful auction is an excited bidder thrusting their bid card in the air! A great bid card can help you improve your auction revenue. The card below is a great example, it was large (8 1/2 x 11) and could be seen from anywhere in the room. It shows the Charity’s Logo on the front and thanks the donors for their support. On the back it lists all the live auction items, which makes it easy for the guests to see and bid on what is in the auction without having to go back to their programs. Once the auction is underway, you want to make it as simple as possible for your guests to bid, and this format works great! One other addition you could make is to find a company to sponsor the cards, add their logo to the front, and your cost is $0. I want to thank Lee Ann Kim and the Pacific Arts Movement for letting me showcase their card.
